As to be expected, one of the first questions Brian and Jamie get asked is “So how is it working with your spouse?” While we’ll leave that answer to them, what makes this duo so effective and dynamic is that after 40 years of combined experience, they continue to share the same “why?” They both became real estate professionals because they wanted to help people, and thanks to their expertise, education and relationships, they have guided hundreds of clients through successful transactions.
Brian and Jamie are one of Kentwood Real Estate’s most accomplished teams. For the past 22 years, they have ranked in the top 10% of Denver brokers for sales activity and the top 4% nationwide. They have been Silver Award winners since 2003 for the Denver Board of REALTORS® Roundtable and Platinum Award winners four times. They finished 2020 in the top 10 teams – out of 200 brokers – for sales activity in all three Kentwood offices, and in the top 100 out of 20,000+ Denver real estate agents. Finally, Brian and Jamie have been recognized as “Five Star Real Estate Agents” by 5280 Magazine every year since its inception.
Proof that the grass doesn’t have to look any greener on the other side, both Brian and Jamie have been with Kentwood for their entire careers. Despite the immense growth the brokerage (and Denver) has undergone over those two decades, the Harris’ are evidence that things really can get better with time. Kentwood’s core values continue to propel it forward and help it adapt to change. Integrity is fundamentally why it is universally recognized as the premiere luxury brokerage in Colorado. An insatiable commitment to keep learning and always improving is like rocket fuel for brokers like Brian and Jamie, and that’s why roughly 90% of their business comes from repeat clients and referrals.
Certified Residential Specialists, this dream team embodies another core attribute of Kentwood Real Estate – their deep knowledge of the local market. Jamie is a Denver native and Brian moved from New Jersey to the Mile High City back in 1990. Both earned their degrees from the University of Colorado and Jamie was the recipient of the Denver Board of REALTORS® Rookie of the Year award in 2000. Jamie brings energy, determination and a fresh “hands on” approach to real estate transactions, and attributes her success to being able to multitask in the most chaotic situations. Brian’s clients compliment him on his professionalism and exceptional communication style, always keeping them informed through every step of the process.
Now residents of Cherry Hills Village, Brian and Jamie have previously set up house in LoDo, Uptown, Capitol Hill, Washington Park, Castle Rock, Cherry Creek and Hilltop. While Google can tell you plenty, there’s just no substitute for having lived in a neighborhood, and the true value of a home can’t be captured online or if a parent gets a good vibe touring the local school. Besides being extraordinarily knowledgeable about the city’s educational system, Brian and Jamie can each recommend a few dozen great Italian and sushi restaurants, not to mention veterinarians, all around town, too.
The Harris’ connect with their clients on the most basic emotional and intellectual levels. Whether someone is buying or selling, whether it’s their first or fifth home, whether this is their dream home or just a job relocation, real estate can be exciting, scary, frustrating and exhilarating, depending on the day or even minute. The couple understands that research, marketing and negotiating are a big part of their job, but most important is listening, being resourceful and making the process as smooth as possible.
Brian and Jamie will proudly share that as much as they love real estate – and they really do love it – first place goes to the lights of their life, Hudson and Chase. Brian loves spending his free time coaching the boys in basketball and flag football. Jamie is an avid tennis player and together they love hiking, especially in Vail when the leaves are turning. They belong to the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church congregation and dote on their mini Australian labradoodle, Vader.
